Informazioni sul prodotto

- (S)-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-1-amine
(S)-2,3-Dihydro-1H-inden-1-amine is an amide that has a hydrogen bond to the NH group of the indole. It is synthesized by reacting 3,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde with ammonia in the presence of an inorganic acid. The product exhibits neuroprotective activity and can be used to study mitochondria. (S)-2,3-Dihydro-1H-inden-1-amine has been shown to inhibit caspase 3 activation and apoptosis in cells treated with hydrogen peroxide or ultraviolet light. Its mechanism of action is not known but it may be due to intramolecular hydrogen bonding between the amine and the carbonyl groups on one side of the molecule and between carboxylates on other sides of the molecule. This compound also has been shown to have antiinflammatory effects and may have potential as an antidepressant drug candidate.
