Informazioni sul prodotto
- 4,6-Dichloro-2-methylsulfanyl-5-nitro-pyrimidine
4,6-Dichloro-2-(methylthio)-5-nitropyrimidine is a purine that is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other compounds. It can be prepared by reacting 2-chloro-4,6-dichloropyrimidine with methylthiolane. The reaction yields a mixture of 4,6-dichloro-2-(methylthio)-5-nitropyrimidine and 2,4,6-trichloropyrimidine. This intermediate can then be converted into oxone by treatment with sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide. Oxone can be used to cleave amides and esters. 4,6-Dichloro-2-(methylthio)-5 nitropyrimidine is also used for the reductive amination of amines to form alkylamines and dialkylamines.
