2,9-Di(4-methoxyphenyl)-anthra2,1,9-def:6,5,10-d'e'f'diisoquinoline-1,3,8,10-tetrone is a hydrogen ion donor. It is a blue fluorescent compound with high resistance to heat and light. This compound has been used as a crosslinking agent in the production of polyurethane foams and as an additive for glycol ethers. 2,9-Di(4-methoxyphenyl)-anthra2,1,9-def:6,5,10-d'e'f'diisoquinoline-1,3,8,10-tetrone is also used in the synthesis of phosphorescent materials and as a radiation stabilizer for polymers.
