4,5-Diamino-1-(2-hydroxyethyl)pyrazole is a ligand that binds to metal ions. It is an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H11N3. The compound has two isomers: 4,5-diamino-1-(2-hydroxyethyl)pyrazole and 1,4,5-triamino-1-(2-hydroxyethyl)pyrazole. 4,5-Diamino-1-(2-hydroxyethyl)pyrazole binds to copper ions and forms complexes with copper(II). This compound can be used for the preparation of analytical methods for metals such as aluminium and nickel. It can also be used for the pretreatment of test organisms before using them in toxicity tests. 4,5-Diamino-1-(2-hydroxyethyl)pyrazole can be synthesized from amines and ethyl group via a hydrolysis process that
