Informazioni sul prodotto
Disodiumfolinate is a sodium salt of levofolinate, which is a synthetic compound that has been used in the treatment of cancer. It is an inorganic acid that exhibits antitumor activity by inhibiting tumor cell proliferation and inducing apoptosis. Disodiumfolinate has been shown to be effective for the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer and solid tumors. Levofolinate binds to folate receptors on the surface of tumor cells, blocking their uptake of folic acid from the blood stream and causing them to die. This drug also inhibits DNA synthesis and protein synthesis, which are necessary for cellular growth. Disodiumfolinate also has a low toxicity profile with few side effects such as allergic reactions or changes in blood counts.
