Parp1 is an enzyme that is involved in the repair and regulation of DNA. 2,4-Dichloro-5,6,7,8-tetrahydropyrido[4,3-d]pyrimidine hydrochloride has been shown to be effective in the treatment of cancer and also inhibits the growth of bacteria. This drug also reacts with alkyl groups and substituents to form chains.
