2,3-Dihydroxy-6-methyl-7-(phenylmethyl)-4-propyl-1-naphthalenecarboxylic Acid (DMN) is a natural compound found in the human body. DMN has been shown to inhibit tumor growth by inducing cell lysis, which may be due to its ability to activate the immune system and induce inflammatory response by lipopolysaccharide (LPS). DMN is also able to inhibit the polymerase chain reaction (PCR), an enzyme activity that replicates DNA, and other enzyme activities. It can also be used as a potential biomarker for renal cancer.
