Descrizione:
Decan-2-one is an aldol cyclization reaction product. It has been shown to be a good substrate for transport properties such as plate tests and model systems. Decan-2-one also has the ability to inhibit locomotor activity in mice, which may be due to its ability to inhibit fatty acid synthesis. The chemical ionization of decan-2-one produces molecular ions with m/z of 197, while its analogs produce molecular ions with m/z of 199. Decan-2-one is a member of the class of compounds known as methyl ketones and has been used in pharmaceutical preparations and population growth experiments.
