Descrizione

N,N-Diethylacetoacetamide is a diketone that can be used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other drugs. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cryptococcus neoformans and other fungi by inhibiting amino transferase activity. N,N-Diethylacetoacetamide may also have drug interactions with sodium salts and carbonyl compounds. The toxicity of this chemical is unknown, but it has been shown to react with hydrogen gas in the presence of trifluoroacetic acid or hydroxyl groups to form an intramolecular hydrogen bond. This molecule also reacts with amines and forms hydrogen bonds with metal ions.
