O-Desaryl ranolazine is a drug that acts as an antihypertensive agent. It has been shown to activate the vasodilator system, which leads to a decrease in blood pressure. O-Desaryl ranolazine is also known to inhibit the production of cholesterol by inhibiting 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase (HMG-CoA reductase).
