4,6-Dimethyl-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridin-3-amine (DMPP) is a potent antibacterial agent that has been shown to be effective against methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and other bacteria. DMPP is a ligand that binds to aminotriazole and inhibits bacterial growth by inhibiting the synthesis of DNA and RNA. DMPP has been synthesized using techniques such as microscopy, isotherm, and thermodynamic methods. The molecular modeling technique was used to determine the structure of DMPP in order to understand the binding process. It was found that DMPP binds to amines due to its electron donating properties.
