Informazioni sul prodotto
R-2,3-Dihydroxy-3-methyl butanoic acid is a nonpathogenic compound that is produced by the biosynthetic pathway in Corynebacterium glutamicum. It is used to stabilize the glutamicum enzyme and reduce the risk of conformational changes that could inhibit catalysis. R-2,3-Dihydroxy-3-methyl butanoic acid is also a reductoisomerase and catalyzes the conversion of L-valine to L-isoleucine. This process occurs in two steps: decarboxylation of L-valine followed by reduction of the resulting α,β unsaturated ketone.
