Informazioni sul prodotto
- Phenyl ditelluride
Diphenyl ditelluride is an intracellular calcium ionophore that binds to the cytoplasmic membrane and alters the level of intracellular calcium. This leads to neuronal death and disruption of neurotransmitter release. Diphenyl ditelluride has been shown to inhibit the locomotor activity in rats, as well as inhibit glutamate-induced neuronal death. Diphenyl ditelluride has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of voltage-dependent calcium channels, which may be due to its ability to form disulfide bonds with sulfur atoms found in these channels.
