3,5-Dinitrobenzotrifluoride (3,5-DNTBF) is a nucleophilic compound that can be used to fabricate polymers. Its main function is to inhibit the growth of leishmania by inducing cell apoptosis. 3,5-DNTBF has been shown to be a potential anticancer agent in studies on mice with melanoma cells. It also has strong inhibitory activity against the mitochondria membrane potential and redox potential, which may contribute to its anti-cancer effects. This chemical is soluble in water and has a high boiling point of 232°C with a low viscosity. The sodium formate salt is stable in air and heat, making it an ideal candidate for plastics manufacturing. 3,5-DNTBF can be recycled using magnesium oxide as a catalyst or nitrobenzene as an oxidizer.
