2,3-Diethylpyrazine is an organic compound that contains two ethyl groups and three methyl groups. It is a colorless liquid with a strong odor. 2,3-Diethylpyrazine has been shown to have mutagenic effects on the DNA of mice when administered at high doses. The structural differences between 2,3-diethylpyrazine and its isomers are responsible for the different toxicity levels observed in knockout mice when administered at high doses. Solid phase microextraction was used to analyze 2,3-diethylpyrazine in a sample preparation technique. The functional theory was used as the theoretical explanation for the research done on this substance. In addition, model systems were created to study coordination geometry in order to better understand the reaction solution obtained from this chemical compound. Ethyl group and evaporation are both terms used in relation to this product.
