Descrizione

1,3-Di(trifluoromethyl)benzene is an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H4CF3. This molecule can be synthesized using asymmetric synthesis and a photophysical reaction mechanism. 1,3-Di(trifluoromethyl)benzene contains a trifluoromethyl group that is used as an acceptor for the electron-deficient chlorides in the reaction and a chloride to activate the molecule. The efficiency of this method has been shown to be thermally activated and cyclopentane ring formation requires a high boiling point solvent such as an organic solvent.
