3,6-Di(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine is a tetranuclear molecule that contains two heterocyclic rings. It is an aromatic compound with a low energy transfer and has been shown to have the ability to react with sodium salts in mda-mb-231 breast cancer cells. This reaction produces an unstable intermediate that can undergo chain reactions with other molecules of 3,6-di(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine. The activation energies for these reactions are found to be in the range of 4.8 to 5.8 kcal/mol. The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique has been used to study binding constants of 3,6-di(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine and DNA. Results show that this molecule binds more tightly
