M,m'-Ditolylamine can be found in many products, including plastics and pesticides. It is also present in cigarette smoke, as well as other sources of air pollution. Genetic factors can affect the body's ability to metabolize this chemical and its metabolites. Constant exposure to M,m'-Ditolylamine may lead to health effects such as cancer and reproductive toxicity. There are epidemiological studies that show an increased risk for developing leukemia or brain cancer in people who are exposed to M,m'-Ditolylamine for long periods of time.
