2,2-Difluoromalonamide is an aliphatic hydrocarbon that has been synthesized for use as a radioactive tracer. It is a n-oxide of 2,2-difluoroethanol and has a molecular weight of 170.21 g/mol. This substance is electron rich, which makes it suitable for electron microscopy studies. It has a diode function and can be used to measure the integrin receptor in cells.
