Descrizione

7,12-Dimethyl-5-Fluorobenz[a]Anthracene is a carcinogenic compound that can cause abnormal cell growth in the endoplasmic reticulum and cytoplasm of cells. This compound has been shown to produce squamous metaplasia, which is a change in the type of epithelium that lines the respiratory tract. 7,12-Dimethyl-5-Fluorobenz[a]anthracene has been found to be present in cigarette smoke and coal tar products, where it is an additive to enhance the color of these products. It is also a byproduct of combustion processes and may be found in air pollution.
