Descrizione

Phenothiazine is a chemical that is used as an antipsychotic drug. It has been shown to be effective in the treatment of infectious diseases, metabolic disorders, and autoimmune diseases. Phenothiazine has been shown to potentiate the effects of other drugs, including those that have potential for use in treating malaria. Phenothiazine can cause chronic toxicities and should not be administered to patients with acute or chronic liver disease or porphyria, as it may precipitate hepatic coma. The compound also inhibits ATP-sensitive potassium channels, which can lead to respiratory depression and arrhythmias.
