Descrizione:
1,4-Di(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)benzene is a hydroquinone that is used as an antiarrhythmic agent. It has been shown to be effective in the treatment of arrhythmias and prevents the formation of ectopic beats by inhibiting the sodium channel. Flecainide is also an antiarrhythmic drug that can be used for treating cardiac arrhythmias. 1,4-Di(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)benzene has been shown to have a high yield during alkylation reactions and it reacts with cuprous ions to form a complex that can be easily isolated. This compound also reacts with trifluoroethanol in alkaline conditions to form 1,4-di(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)benzene oxide.
