(1-Ethyl-1-methylpropyl)amine hydrochloride is an anticancer agent that inhibits the proliferation of cancer cells by interfering with the synthesis of nucleic acids. It blocks the enzymes involved in the replication of DNA, such as DNA polymerase and topoisomerase II, by binding to a specific site on their active sites. This drug also has an anti-coagulant effect due to its ability to inhibit thrombin activity. (1-Ethyl-1-methylpropyl)amine hydrochloride can be used as a coating for medical devices or as a monomer in coatings to form polymers with 6alkyl groups. This drug can also be used in pharmaceuticals that are designed to inhibit receptor activity.
