Informazioni sul prodotto
- Ethyl 2-chloro-5-thiazolecarboxylate
- Ethyl 2-Chloro-1,3-Thiazole-5-Carboxylate
Ethyl 2-chlorothiazole-5-carboxylate is a furan derivative that is used as a sensitizer in polymerization reactions. It has photophysical and fluorescence properties. The compound absorbs light at wavelengths of 360 nm to 420 nm, with maxima at 370 nm and 390 nm. The photochemical reaction of ethyl 2-chlorothiazole-5-carboxylate is initiated by absorption of ultraviolet light and produces an excited state that emits blue light at 495 nm. This excitation process has been shown to be reversible, producing the ground state product when irradiated with visible light in the range of 400 to 500 nm. This compound also reacts with benzene to produce phenanthrene.
