Informazioni sul prodotto
Ethyl 1,2,4-triazine-3-carboxylate is an imidazole that can be synthesized by the reaction of ethyl chloroformate and liquid ammonia. It has been used as a reagent in liquid chromatography techniques for separating carboxylic acids. The compound is a precursor to triazines and carboxylic acids. The compound displays anticatarrhal properties and antisecretory activity, which may be due to its ability to inhibit gastric acid secretion. Ethyl 1,2,4-triazine-3-carboxylate binds to the active site of the enzyme H+,K+-ATPase in the parietal cells of the stomach and inhibits acid secretion. This binding prevents ATP from binding with the enzyme and prevents hydrolysis of ATP to ADP.
