1-Ethyl-1H-1,2,3,4-tetrazol-5-amine is a chemical compound that is used as a retardant for polymers and other materials. It can be used to increase the time for which the material remains pliable and moldable. This chemical is also used in the production of formaldehyde and has been shown to increase the strength of epoxy resins. 1-Ethyl-1H-1,2,3,4-tetrazol-5-amine can be used to encapsulate or coat other substances. It can be used in packaging or as an additive to create a cohesive force between two materials. The chemical has been shown to have good cohesiveness when combined with other substances such as polyethylene glycols (PEGs) and polyvinyl alcohols (PVAs).
