Ethaverine is an anti-diabetic drug that belongs to the class of solute compounds. It is used in the treatment of diabetic patients with high blood sugar levels. Ethaverine inhibits the production of dopamine, which helps in controlling blood sugar levels. The redox potentials of this drug were determined by a method based on solute compounds and dopamine and are found to be -0.05 V at pH 7.4 and 0.02 V at pH 5.5. This drug also has been shown to have properties as an analytical method for pharmaceutical drugs, which can be isolated from heart tissue or chromatographically separated from urine samples containing fatty acid metabolites.
