Descrizione:
Ethyl 5-methylindole-2-carboxylate is an antioxidant that is used as a reagent in the synthesis of other compounds. It has been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth in vitro via its ability to inhibit the metabolic activity of human hepatoma cells. Ethyl 5-methylindole-2-carboxylate has also been shown to have cytotoxic activity against human hepatoma cells in vitro, and may be a potential anticancer drug candidate.
