Descrizione

Ethyl 2-amino-4-phenyl-3-thiophenecarboxylate is a low energy synthetic compound that belongs to the group of unsymmetrical compounds. It has been used in techniques involving chemists and thermally sensitive functional groups, such as diethyl esters. This molecule is not toxic to cells and has been shown to have anti-fungal properties against Candida albicans and Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Ethyl 2-amino-4-phenyl-3-thiophenecarboxylate also exhibits estrogenic activity. The imine form of this molecule has been shown to modulate the temperature at which the protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) enzyme becomes active.
