Ethyl 2-amino-4-(4-fluorophenyl)thiophene-3-carboxylate is a chemical compound used in the manufacture of tetraborate, which is an inorganic salt. It is also used to produce potassium chloride and sodium sulfamate. Ethyl 2-amino-4-(4-fluorophenyl)thiophene-3-carboxylate can be manufactured by reacting titanium with ethyl 4-(2,6,6-trimethylcyclohexanecarbonyl)phenylacetate and then reacting it with sodium sulfamic acid. This reaction produces titanium tetraisopropoxide and ethyl 2-(2,6,6,-trimethylcyclohexanecarbonyl)phenylamine. The ethyl 2-(2,6,6,-trimethylcyclohexanecarbonyl)phenylamine reacts with chlorine gas to produce
