It has been shown to act as a gamma-aminobutyric acid agonist and inhibit the release of acetylcholine from nerve endings. Ethylene glycol monoacetoacetate monomethacrylate is insoluble in water and soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, acetone, or benzene.
