Ethyl 2,4-Difluorobenzoylacetate is a biphenyl analog that inhibits the growth of cancer cells by binding to DNA. It has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of tumor cells in vitro and in vivo. The prodrug is hydrolyzed to the active form, which binds to dna topoisomerase II and prevents the release of supercoiled DNA, resulting in cell death. This compound is also an anti-cancer agent that inhibits the growth of cancer cells by binding to DNA. It has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of tumor cells in vitro and in vivo. The prodrug is hydrolyzed to the active form, which binds to dna topoisomerase II and prevents the release of supercoiled DNA, resulting in cell death. This compound is also an anti-cancer agent that intercalates into DNA and prevents transcription and replication.
