Descrizione

4-[3-(4-Fluorophenyl)-2-Hydroxy-1-(1H-1,2,4-Triazol-1-Yl)Propyl]-Benzonitrile is a chiral compound with inhibitory properties. It has been shown to be effective against prostate cancer cells and rat liver microsomes. 4-[3-(4-Fluorophenyl)-2-Hydroxy-1-(1H-1,2,4-Triazol-1-Yl)Propyl]-Benzonitrile also inhibits the activity of the enzyme aromatase and may be useful in treating symptoms of bowel disease. This drug is being studied for its potential use in inflammatory bowel disease, as it has been shown to have histological effects on the gastrointestinal tract. The drug's antiinflammatory properties may be due to inhibition of cyclooxygenase 1 and 2 (COX 1 and COX 2).
