4-Fluorophenylpyrrolidone is a synthetic, nonsteroidal compound that is being investigated for its anti-inflammatory and anticancer properties. 4-Fluorophenylpyrrolidone has been shown to inhibit the growth of tumor cells in vivo by inducing apoptosis and autophagy. 4-Fluorophenylpyrrolidone also inhibits prostaglandin synthesis and epidermal growth factor receptor expression. In addition, it has been shown to have potential as a biomarker for autoimmune diseases and liver cells.
