Fluorometholone has been shown to have strong antiinflammatory activity and inhibit the production of inflammatory cytokines. It also has mineralocorticoid activity and can be used to treat adrenal insufficiency. This drug has potent potencies structurally similar to glucocorticoids and mineralocorticoids.
