6-fluoro-1-methylindazole is a phenyl heterocyclic compound that belongs to the group of piperidine derivatives. It is used for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders and as a centrally acting vasodilator. The nitrogen atom in 6-fluoro-1-methylindazole acts as a hydrogen bond donor, which may be responsible for its cardiovascular system effects. 6-Fluoro-1-methylindazole has been shown to increase blood flow, decrease pressure in the pulmonary artery, and decrease heart rate.
