Informazioni sul prodotto
2-Fluoro-1-iodo-4-(trifluoromethyl)benzene (2FI4TB) is an oxidant that is used in assays to measure the ability of cells to produce oxidative metabolites. 2FI4TB has been found to be a substrate for bacterial biosynthesis and has been used as a probe for staphylococcus, although it does not have any activity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
2FI4TB has been shown to inhibit carotenoid production in S. aureus, which may lead to increased susceptibility of this organism to oxidative stress.
