Descrizione

1' -[4-(4-Fluorophenyl)-4-oxobutyl]-[1,4'-bipiperidine]-4'-carboxamide is a 5-HT2 receptor agonist that has been shown to be effective in vitro against the multiplication of infectious agents. It has also been shown to have a matrix effect and may be useful for blood sampling. 1' -[4-(4-Fluorophenyl)-4-oxobutyl]-[1,4'-bipiperidine]-4'-carboxamide is not active against dopamine or piperonyl but does inhibit the activity of enzymes such as acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and monoamine oxidase (MAO). This drug is unable to cross the blood brain barrier, which limits its use in treating diseases of the central nervous system.
