Fmoc-L-propargylglycine is a cyclic peptide that is synthesized by chemical ligation. It has antiviral, anti-tumor, and anti-inflammatory activities. Fmoc-L-propargylglycine inhibits the growth of cancer cells in vitro. The mechanism of action is not fully understood, but it may involve the inhibition of cellular proliferation and the induction of apoptosis. This compound also inhibits epidermal growth factor (EGF) induced cell proliferation in caco-2 cells.
