2-(4-Fluorobenzoyl)benzoic acid is a chemical that inhibits the growth of human pathogenic bacteria. The compound has been shown to inhibit bacterial growth through a number of chemical reactions, including antibacterial activity. 2-(4-Fluorobenzoyl)benzoic acid also has antifungal activity against Candida albicans and Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
