Informazioni sul prodotto
- 4-Fluoro-3-Nitrobenzyl Bromide
- 4-(Bromomethyl)-1-Fluoro-2-Nitrobenzene
4-Fluoro-3-nitrobenzyl Bromide is a reagent that is used in assays to measure the activity of bacterial RNA polymerase. It contains an alkylating moiety that reacts with nucleophilic groups on the enzyme, causing irreversible damage. 4-Fluoro-3-nitrobenzyl Bromide can be synthesized from commercially available starting materials, making it a promising candidate for use as an antibacterial agent. This synthetic compound has been shown to have high stereoselectivity and biochemical activity against staphylococcus bacteria. 4-Fluoro-3-nitrobenzyl Bromide blocks bacterial rRNA synthesis by reacting with the 3'-hydroxyl group of ribose, which prevents the formation of a covalent bond between ribose and phosphate. This reaction also inhibits protein synthesis by blocking aminoacylation of tRNA molecules.
