2-Fluorobiphenyl-4-Carboxaldehyde is a potential therapeutic that targets the β-amyloid protein, which is thought to be involved in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease. The compound has been shown to inhibit amyloid aggregation and disaggregation, as well as to reduce the production of reactive oxygen species as a result of β-amyloid toxicity. 2-Fluorobiphenyl-4-Carboxaldehyde has also been shown to have antipyretic activity, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. This compound may also be used for the treatment of inflammatory conditions.
