Informazioni sul prodotto
(3-Fluoro-4,5-Dihydroxyphenyl)Acetonitrile is a compound that belongs to the class of phenylacetonitriles. It can be used in the synthesis of l-dopa, which is a precursor for dopamine and other catecholamines. The conversion of (3-fluoro-4,5-dihydroxyphenyl)acetonitrile to l-dopa can be achieved by either benzylation or homologation. The terminal position of the side chain on (3-fluoro-4,5-dihydroxyphenyl)acetonitrile determines whether its conversion to l-dopa will be temporary or terminally. Racemization occurs when there is an equal amount of right and left handed molecules present.
