Descrizione

2-(4-Fluorophenyl)-5-(3-Thienyl)-4-Oxazoleacetic Acid is a hypolipidemic agent that belongs to the group of thienyl acid derivatives. It has been shown to decrease the level of total cholesterol and low density lipoproteins (LDLs) in the blood. 2-(4-Fluorophenyl)-5-(3-Thienyl)-4-Oxazoleacetic Acid also inhibits platelet aggregation and reduces the formation of blood clots, which may be due to its inhibition of arachidonate 5-lipoxygenase.
2-(4-Fluorophenyl)-5-(3-Thienyl)-4-Oxazoleacetic Acid has been used in clinical trials with hyperlipidemic patients, where it was found to have hypolipidemic activity.
