1-[4-[3-(4-Fluorophenoxy)Phenyl]But-3-Yn-2-Yl]-1-Hydroxyurea (FBPY) is an orally active inhibitor of the receptor activity of fatty acid, which may be helpful in the treatment of inflammatory diseases. FBPY has shown inhibitory effects on chronic bronchitis and asthma. It also inhibits the production of interleukin and has a potential use for autoimmune diseases. FBPY is a pharmaceutical preparation that binds to toll-like receptor 5 (TLR5), which is important for inflammation and immune response. There have been studies showing that FBPY can bind to CCR5 receptor, which is involved in HIV infection.
