GolD(I)chloride is a specific antibody that is designed to detect the presence of methyl ketones in a reaction solution. It has been shown to be effective in detecting the presence of methyl ketones, such as 3-hexanone and 2-hexanone, at concentrations as low as 1 part per billion. The antibody is reacted with colloidal gold particles to form an immune complex. The concentration of these particles can then be determined using analytical chemistry techniques. This technique can be used to monitor the production of chemicals during chemical reactions, or to detect environmental pollutants in water samples.
