Descrizione

Germanium(II) sulfide is a chemical compound with the formula GeS. It has an activation energy of 0.05 eV, which is relatively low for this type of compound. Germanium sulfide has a class 1 integron that codes for antibiotic resistance genes and can be transferred to other bacteria through horizontal gene transfer. The compound also has antioxidant properties and is used as a treatment for diabetic patients. Germanium sulfide also has low energy absorption and emission spectra, making it an ideal candidate for optical applications such as lasers or LEDs. The redox potential of GeS is -0.12 V, which means that it can easily oxidize other substances in its environment. This property makes GeS useful in ecological studies because it can be used to measure the oxidation rates of various substances in the environment. Further, Germanium sulfide has been shown to have a maximal response at 550 nm with an optimal reaction temperature of 100°C and kinetic energy of 5 eV per atom
