N-[4-[1,1,1,3,3,3-Hexafluoro-2-(trifluoromethyl)propane-2-yl]phenyl]-2-iodoacetamide is a fluorinated serine protease inhibitor. It binds to the active site of serine proteases and blocks the conversion of substrate to product by competitive inhibition. N-[4-[1,1,1,3,3,3-Hexafluoro-2-(trifluoromethyl)propane-2-yl]phenyl]-2-iodoacetamide has been shown to have affinity for a number of different kinases; however its interaction with specific protein targets is unknown. This compound has potential as a drug for the treatment of cancer and other diseases.
