7-[6-(2-Hydroxypropan-2-yl)pyridin-3-yl]-1-(trans-4-methoxycyclohexyl)-3,4-dihydropyrazino[2,3-b]pyrazin-2(1H)-one (PCI 168) is a hepg2 cell growth inhibitor that selectively inhibits lipid kinase activity and has cytostatic effects. PCI 168 can be used to inhibit the growth of xenograft tumors in mice. This compound also inhibits the growth factor epidermal growth factor (EGF). It is an orally active drug that may have anticancer effects and may be useful in treating cancers such as those of the heart or tumor xenografts.
