Informazioni sul prodotto
- 2-heptyl-1H-benzimidazole
2-Hept-1-yl-1H-benzimidazole is a benzimidazole derivative that has shown potential for cancer treatment. It has been found to inhibit the activity of p450 isozymes and induce cell death in cancer cells. This compound binds to the fatty acid binding site on the cytochrome P450 enzyme and stabilizes it, leading to an increase in its activity. The 2-Hept-1-yl-1H-benzimidazole has also been found to be effective against human cervical carcinoma cells, as well as rat liver microsomes. In addition, this compound has been shown to be able to cross the blood brain barrier in rats and affect behaviour on a rotarod test.
